Tell your dad he doesn't know what he's talking about, that should be fun. If you weren't supposed to start the car right away, then they would have built a delay into the push-button start. Since we just hold the pedal down and push the button, we have no control over how quick the computer starts the car. I'll trust in the fact that Nissan engineers know what they were doing when they program the computer with the sequence for starting the engine.

I agree with the guys above me though in thinking the beep beep is for your seat belt. Test it out and let us know :P

I know what your dad is talking about..I do that to my altima se-r all the time before start up..I guess its a habit but on the G you can't do that at all...where in queens r u??

It's a seat belt reminder. Try buckling up before you start the car. It won't beep.

If it was needed. Infiniti wouldnt let you start the car right away
