windshield cracked under lease

bad winter season is almost over now.
Our great summer tires gave me a good experience that I never had before !!!!!
Since G is out of control, I drove the ML during winter season.
I was happy with ML on snow, icy road.
but guess what....
Just car washed this morning, and then found out hundreds of rock chips.
windshield bottom line is cracked all the way;
I did not notice that from inside. I don't care about the rock chips because its a lease vehicle.

Do you think I will get charged when I return the car? or is it fine?

Depends if the crack gets bigger...either way if it does you have to replace it or else you want pass inspection..anything bigger than a few inches you need to get it replaced

You should be able to get it replaced by your insurance company man. Check your policy

^ What he said. I got hit by a rock on my way from NC to FL on Thursday night, the crack was 8 inches long by the time I got home and is still growing. I called my insurance company on Friday and somebody will be here tomorrow to replace my windshield. It's just a good idea to get it taken care of now before it becomes a bigger problem, and to just avoid having to deal with the dealer if they're not happy about getting a car back with a chipped windshield. And it's free for you, insurance company isn't allowed to charge you or raise your rates in any way.

if you leased you shouldve been required to have full covg, which should include glass which is usually a zero deductible, so get that chit replaced for free.

as for the rock chips, if you dont fix it, and they are really noticeable youll prob get butt raped by infiniti. And if you repaint the front bumper, youll prob get butt raped by infiniti.

as post said, rock chiped and cracked car isn't my G37.
Its a Mercedes ML. I am happy with my G has no rock chips and good condition with 2700miles. also My G is purchased not leased... but ML is leased bc I think Mercedes are worthless after 4-5 years......but its great winter car and cheap insurance....

This actually just happened to me yesterday. Got a rock kicked up and hit my windshield in the G at 85mph.

First it started as a little crack (1-2inches) by the time my 400mile drive was over, it is now about 15-18inches long right across the drivers seat..

Looks i need to get my windshield replaced

^What he said^

If your insurance company covers it, then your all good . If not you get billed at the end of the lease.......unless you get another Infiniti or Nissan and waive $500.00 worth of damage and mileage.

You should be so lucky its just a chip... I need to go take a picture of my crack that a rock caused. It is literally 28-30 inches long.
