Make them do the work, instead of you. You should be able to drop off the car at the dealership so they can do their job and fix it for you. Not tasking you, have you running around, finding your own part.

I'd say leave the car there, take their loaner for as long as necessary. The longer they take in figuring it out, the longer you keep driving the loaner.
