Price to fix scratches/chips/dings/tires?

On a 2008 G37 coupe...

What would be an estimated amount for fixing/replacing the following?

  • Curbed rims (driver's side front/rear)
  • Chip in the hood of the car (at the edge, just to the left of center)
  • White paint on the passenger door handle (probably from another car)
  • Several dings in the passenger door
Also, how often do tires need to be replaced and what's the most economical way to replace them? I looked at Firestone.com and they listed around $275/ea for the front and $315/ea for the rear, putting it at around $1200 for a set. Is that expected, and how often do they typically need replacement?

Thanks!

A PDR place will typically charge $80-$100 each for small dings. Touch up paint is about $20, unless you want to have a place repaint. Rim repair from a reputable place will probably be around $200.

From what I've seen on here, average tire life is 15K-25K miles before you want to think about replacement. It all depends on your driving style. I have a little over 28K on my stock summers and they will need to be replaced very soon. Tire roar is starting to get annoying. Pricing for the stock tires seems about right. You could always try another brand if you want lower cost.

In Atlanta I could not find rim repair for under $280 and 3 day repair time, until I called the dealer, who quoted $150, same day, and a loaner. I think I know which direction I'll go to correct my blond moment at the drive through ATM.
