Any 2009 G37 issues?

Looking into the 09 G37x coupe.. A little frightened to buy an 09 since it is the first year of them putting the AWD in the coupe and putting the 7spd auto in it.. Wondering if there are problems anyone is experiencing or hearing of regarding these two changes? Also, when do they typically start shipping the new year versions? I was thinking about waiting until the '10's start shipping so I can test out both the 09 and the 2010 and see how they compare.. Thanks!!

yea, i got to choose between the 08 and 09....(dealership had 08's left), and i ended up choosing the 08's cause the 09's was the frist year they released 7AT and also the self healing paint...

even the dealer told me...yea, it's a newer vehicle, but no one really knows if there are any problems with the 7AT since it's so new....and secondly, IF *knock wood* u get into an accident and u need to get the panels repainted...u can't repaint it with the self healing paint since no body shop is able to repaint it with the self healing paint...

The AWD is still fairly new to the coupe but the EX carried it in '08..... the 7AT I believe is still new so guess we're still waiting on reports but the 5AT didn't really have many problems.......

Sounds like dealer wanted to clear out those 2008s. one dealer refused to even show me the 2009s even though they had them in stock. Honestly, 2008 is way to go esp if you are getting 6sp manual and not wanting the X. One dealer in chicago is offering $10k off sticker...

Not sure what you mean by "a bit off" but that's what it said in the email. It could be demo's who knows.

Anyone have any idea what the 2010 model holds in store as far as changes? I do want the awd as I do live in pa and get snow every once and a while and I want an auto since this will be my daily driver. Here they have 09s for about 7k off sticker so its not unreasonable for them to try harder to move 08s where they are still avail

not really, they didn't have that many 08's left...and they weren't wiling to bring in anymore because that would mean they lose money on the vehicle because of the transaction fee's etc (he was telling me that the remianing 08's belonged to another infiniti dealership, and they had to spend $300 to sign it over to this dealership or somethign like that)...anyways, he really wanted to sell me an 09....or an 08 which didn't have the color i wanted or didn't have the tech pack...

anyways, long story short, i ended up asking him what's the downside of owning an 09....he told me that i wouldn't qualify for the discount because it's a new car (so no $8000 off)...no one has self healing paint available for now....& didn't know if there was any problems with the 7AT...

like i said, i ended up choosing the 08...

10K off just sounds like a crazy deal. That's a lot better than Plan A VPP I think...

Well, I guess since 09's are out, that's feasible. I'd definitely jump on an 08 if I was given this deal..
