I have the AWD 2009 coupe and it's AMAZING. Simply put, it handles exceptionally well in both snow & rain. Sure you can save a few bucks by going with the '08, but so far I can tell you that I have zero regrets. Good luck choosing though.

Yes it's a several year old thread. But it's either bump this or start a new one and get flame'd... SO I picked this as my poison.
With that said, what issues with 09's have you all seen.

I have 20k on my 09x coupe, no issues yet. I just go in every 3k for an oil change, and got the transmission update free of charge. That's it.

I've had my '09 X coupe for a year now. Put 20k miles on, do an oil change every 3k and that's been about it for regular maintenance so far. Zero issues.

So is it really true that the 7at is faster than the 5at? Assuming both coupes are rwd.

Wouldn't be fair to compare x to 5at as the bump in speed may be coming from the awd vs rwd and not the gearing.

Yes, to a certain degree. More gears allows for the engine to stay closer to peak RPMs through each shift.

Found and bought a 2009 G37 Journey Sedan (with Nav and premium packages) for an anniversery present for my wife. Car had 9881 original miles and is in showroom condition (body and interior). It starts runs and drives like new.

My wife who doesnt notice anything about cars except the color, says that it "feels unhappy" at low speeds. I'm sure this is the much posted about trans issue. The car had NO service records in the glove box, but recently changed oil on the dipstick, (still mostly gold).

I plan on running it by the Infinity dealer next week to discuss another (verified mileage) oil change and a flash for the trans issue. What else should I discuss with the service manager or have the stealership look for/at?

It also means it needs to shift more often which doesn't allow it to hold its power as long per gear and has to spend more time shifting.

The g also gives the most power at the higher rpm range which the 5at is in more often, that's also why it gets worse mpg.
