Just picked her up today..

PG, Navi, Prem, Tech, 6-speed, No spoiler...

LOVE IT!!!!!

How true are the "breaking it in" ideas??

Should i take it easy for the first 1000?

Will it make a significant impact?

I believe the user manual says to take it easy, so i would probably follow that. I know your waiting to step on it though!

Congrats on the new ride, give her a nice wash and post up some pics!

I am a believer in taking it "easy" as the manufacturer recommends. They suggest under 4K rpm for 1200 miles and vary rpm on highway. Did I do that perfectly.....no, but have tried. And you will not get a consistent answer on this topic....you will get everything from follow the manual to floor it and sell it.

LOL thats what i did, up to 600 miles and then i gave up. 1 rule that i always followed was no cruise control.

Does the break in period count as the time between the first time you pushed the start button at the dealership and then floored the accelarator?

Yeah? Then from personal experience I recommend a break in period of around 15 metres or the length of the dealership driveway - whichever comes first.
