bump for andy. he hooked it up with my 6000k d2s bulbs too!

 

Any of you with HPA 6K bulbs get a different shade on each side? I had AmpM installed mine and my left side is white/blue while my right side is white/yellow, when shining on a white wall about 20ft ahead or someone's car bumper.

 

How long have you had them? I remember a few people on here saying that they might change color a little bit the more you used them, like as they burned in kind of thing...I dont know if that's at all what is happening, but Andy and everyone at HPA is legit, they'll help you out if something's wrong.

Just had it for 4 days. I understand they might require burn in, but i would thought both burn in at the same color. Right now they are different color/hue.

 

I've never heard of any brake in period for any hid. Are you guys serious?

No such thing. Some bulbs might take a few seconds to warm up, but after that, it will illuminate according to kelvin temp rating on the D2S bulb . My guess is that you got two different bulbs or they mis labeled one of them.

 

I just ordered myself some 6k HID's from Andy...

 

One is defectiveor the wrong bulb, you need to get a replacement

Anyway, I was thinking maybe one of my bulb was already thru the "break in" and the other hasn't that's why the hue are different, but guess not.... I didn't install these myself and nor do I know how or have the necessary tools. I took my G to Amplified Motorsport for installation. I hope they don't charge me once to take them back out and charge me again later on to put new ones back on. Anyone have instructions on replacing these HID bulbs w/o taking the wheel/tires off? That's how AmpM did it.

I just got these in today and decided to install them myself. Thanks to Andy@HPAuto for the unbeatable price and fast, i mean fast next day, shipping. I have 1 question though. The 6k Hids are suppose to be pure white right? I was hoping for a little bit more of a blue hue.
