I have noticed ever since I purchased my G37S w/NAV, there is a weird noise coming from the stereo. Once in awhile there is this "two thump noise (sound like drum beat)" that last for like a second. Anyone else have this issue?

No one had this issue.....drum beatting noise that come on once in awhile...everytime I come near my house

 

maybe some kind of interference from something near your house?

 

maybe ur neighbours have a secret communication bunker under there house and it interferes with ur sound system.

 

Make sure nothing inside of your arm rest (metallic objects) are leaning against the iPod and RCA connectors.

 

I heard the same noise that someone else reported a few months ago......... it was a voice that kept saying "kill, kill, kill..." but once the car was turned off, I kept hearing the voice so i don't think it was the car.

 

I only get a noise similar to this when I first make a call on the bluetooth and it's about to start ringing Sounds horrible so I lower the volume all the way down so I don't hear it...

 

I believe a college intern designed the BT system of the G37 as a senior project.

 

That was me and I still hear it too. Wait, what color is your car? That may be it.

But seriously, I have the same ticking noise coming from my dash.

Over the past few days, I only notice the noise when I'm near my house. The noise is actually drumbeats sound lasting for like one second. At first, I thought it was coming from one of my song in my ipod. Now, I hear the same drumbeat sound when listening to the radio. Only occur about 100 yd from my house. Could it be some kind of a setting on my NAV????

 

I knew someone else had first reported it and I tried to give you props on it (that's why I said someone had reported it a few months ago) but couldn't remember who it was that first posted it. LOL

 

Are you sure its not cell phone interference noises?

 

If this is cell phone interference noises, why would it only happened near my house? It sound just like two drumbeat. It is like the car is telling me something. I know this is not a big deal...just curious if anyone else have the same adnomaly.

 

I finally found out what the cause of the "weird sound." Apparently, when I was saving my home location on the NAV, there is an option to add sound to your home location. As a result, everytime I'm near my house, there is the drum sound noise......This is silly.
