Front windshield film stained. Thoughts?
I parked over at ikea yesterday and there was some **** dripping on my car from the parking deck that stained my windshield. It was kind of a milky looking water. I wiped it off immediately, but it seemed to have broken down the "film" if there is any on the outside of the windshield. Now there is this spot that dries different than the rest of the windshield when it is raining. It is right in front of my eyeline too so way distracting. It's really weird, the windshield will have a uniform rain pattern except for this like 3x3 spot right in front of my facei don't know if it took like the natural "film" off the windshield or if they coat it before the factory.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like lack of RainX ? I wouldn't be able to tell you much, but the following:
Consider Waxing your windshield with RainX, it might help and add that extra layer of protection
Stay away from Ikea parking lots. The customers there are usually out of control steers fighting for parking and the best deals. :-/
I usually "Go with someone" than taking the G. I've had too HARD door dings on my previous G35 in Ikea - so hard, it chipped the paint on both dings.

I'm thinking that either during the detailing process or during the finishing process at the factory they put something on the shield to coat it. I'll go grab some rain-x and maybe try some good ole carnuba wax on it too.
