Service Loaners, Does it matter to you...
i think its great i can get loaners but there always fCKING filthy bejesussaucesomgwtfbbq clean the interior please.... but my stealership only gives out sedan loaners... i've heard of places giving out the EX when it came out.. i would love to drive that and the fx50 maybe a convertable when it comes out?
I had a '08 G35x sedan loaner. Was a little 'used' (ie scuff marks on the door interior from lazy drivers getting in/out of car, scratch on the front bumper, door dings from mall parking, etc) but it was fine.
I don't really care what the car is but you'd think Infiniti dealers don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. (Imagine them giving out a non-Nissan as a loaner and the person coming in for service likes that car so much, they buy that next time around ...!)
Anyway, my only complaint is that I had to replace the gas that I used in the loaner. ($4 ... I figured I drove no more than 20 miles, which would equate to a gallon of gas). If I didn't add the gas, they would have charged me $6.50/gallon for one of their service advisors to replace the used gas ...

I used to get G35 sedans and once in a while, an FX as a loaner... was pretty impressed with the FX.
I also had times when they ran out of loaners, so the took to me to car rental place and i got some piece of shiat economy sedan... I was glad to get back in my Infiniti, to say the least.

Last loaner I had for a major service was a G35 sedan, less than 70 miles on it. The one before that (where they replaced my muffler under warranty) was another G35 base sedan.
Not bad cars, but they ain't my car. Would have preferred a coupe. Stick, too.

Yes, I would care. Since Infiniti provides a loaner service as part of the sales pitch to get you to choose their brand, I fully expect to get an Infiniti, that is somewhat clean.
I understand that MY idea of clean and THEIR idea of clean may differ from time to time, but I have gone back to the counter to ask for another vehicle if the one they gave me was really bad.
Believe it or not, not all brands provide this service. We used to own a BWM and a MB, and both had Enterprise locations on-site, which would provide you with a regular vehicle. Currently we have a Bentley (which is incidentally in service right now), and I have a Cadillac STS as a loaner from ASAP car rental (paid for by Bentley of course). Either way, car was filthy!!! Definitely leaves a sour taste in your mouth... but it was either that or a Honda Civic. Needless to say I took the Caddy...
So yes, it does matter. If you pay for something you expect to get it within reasonable limits.

I've been fortunate enough not to need a loaner; and hope it stays that way. I usually schedule my oil changes on a day off. As someone who gets up at the crack of dawn even on the weekends, I can be at the dealership (40 miles away) when it first opens. I'm usually out of there before 8:30 am.
What I find fascinating from this discussion is that the majority of us believe it is expected that we should receive a new, clean loaner - preferably an Infiniti. I agree with that 100%.
What I wonder is how many of the same guys that feel entitled to that priviledge are the sames ones that trash the sh#t out of the loaners. There is certainly a contingent (a vast minority) of the "entitled" crowd on the Board with little to no respect for others' property or the other people that use it.
I'll agree 100% with hating a car that has been smoked in. There is no excuse for a dealer to give out a dirty, smelly car, but there's also no reason to return one in that condition.

My dealer offers G35 sedans, G37s, and FXs as loaners. Unfortunately I'm only 18 though so they won't give me a loaner and I either have to wait or get a ride....
Edit: As far as cleanliness, I did bring my dad along once so I could get a loaner and it had 3,000 miles on it but it was brand new looking inside and out. And I returned it that way. They ended up needing my car shorter than originally planned so we only drove it home then it sat in the driveway for a couple hours before we returned it.

I have a very very clean car, and I've received my car filthy from Infiniti before (oil marks on the interior from mechanics working on it). I see some of these cars all abused, banged up, dented, and I can guarantee you that I would never do any of the sort... that being said, I don't think it's too much to ask to at the very least wipe it down inside a little... car rental places do it all the time!
When I was joking above about abusing the car, I really didn't mean leave it filthy or smoke or anything of the sort... but when I would normally take off slow in my own car, I'd probably punch it off the line in the loaner... as I have been corrected, it's simply just spirited driving...
