The proof is in the pudding, G37 and S model are slower than G35. If you think this thing is fast you have no idea what cars are capable of! Make a friend who has a 911 Turbo or a new Corvette ZR1, those will run 0-100 in half the time the G will.

My 05 WRX Stg II wagon was faster than my G. I used to race guys in G35's (only up to freeway speeds of course) and beat them all day long.

 

You're seriously not comparing the high dollar Porsche 911 and Vette ZR1 to the G? Those engines are of a different breed. Apples and Oranges.

I don't think the G was ever intended to be fast off the line. This car is too heavy for that. The performance and handling is on the top end, not the take off.

 

I agree. The G isnt in that category. So you cant compare to those cars.

As for the street...
Its a Fast car period. Pretty Fast is a ZR1 or Porsche 911.
Very Fast is a one of these MODed a couple hundred+ HP over.

 

G37 is not fast. It is swift at higher speeds, fast it is not. Sorry brother but you need to start looking at the road when you drive. Then you will see some "fast" cars.

Infinite G37S you are mistaken if you think the 37S is slower than the G35. Even with a bunch of boltons my G35 was slower than my 37.

The G is sport/luxury. If you want 911 or ZR1, then you will pay $$$$$$$$ for it. That's the difference. The G is not an off the line car. It's performance is on the higher end.

For my money, you can't beat the price for product. If you want very fast for your G, MOD it!!! Turbo kits, etc. ++HP!!

If I could get a 911 or ZR1 for 45K, it would be nice. But until the moons align in that manner, the G rules!!!!

 

Dont get me wrong, this is a phenominal GT sport coupe, every luxury ammenity you could ever want, very comfortable, very good looking, very functional, easy to drive and gets tons of girls. As a performance car, on paper, its decent but nothing to shake a stick at. .86g on skidpad, 0-60 in 5.4sec, braking distance is good but this car is by no means a rocket ship. 0-60 is sub 5 is fast to me, the 335i does 0-60 in 4.7, that sucker is fast! Porche and Vette, mid to high 3's!
