OMG This thing moves!!!

All,

Not sure if I got a factory freak or if all of them are like this, but yesterday I finally decided to give my car some juice (since at last I have surpassed the break-in mileage) and WOW!

The car was in 2nd gear, low rpm's, and I just punched it and this thing just pulled like a train! It ran through 3rd and 4th effortlessly. I didn't bother switching into any higher gears due to where I was. I couldn't stop smiling and I figured I would share the feeling.

I just came from a G35 coupe, and a lot of people say the G37 does not feel faster. I have to strongly disagree...it feels quite faster than my 07 G35 6MT. So glad I I got this car!!!

It is one of the best handling and fun "sporty" cars I have driven in a long time. I'm headed back into the Wisconsin kettle morain area for a 3 day trip in September to wring it out again. In these back roads with the windows down and the sound of the engine at speed(revs high) bouncing off the hills it is pure bliss.

OP--That
Thanks for the reminder. Regardless of the fact that there are always faster cars (and will be for 99.6% of the people here).
Next model year is always around the corner.
Issues (usually minor) will come up, and need to be dealt with.
A car (any car) is rarely anything like an investment....
Dollar for dollar, bone stock, this car is is a consistently a hella kick to drive.

/Good to hear some just wanting to put their enthusiasm out there, w/no qualification.

I remember one specific time when I got on a downhill freeway on-ramp and decided to floor it in 2nd gear. That was absolutely ridiculous how much the car pushed me back against my seat. I never managed to recreate that feeling, probably because I'm used to the car now. But those several seconds going from 15 to 50 was nuts!

I remember the first time I really went for it after the break in period. I was amazed at how it pulled like a demon, put a huge smile on my face, and still does!!

Maybe the reason it had such a great effect on me is that even though the break in period specifies not to go past 4k rpm, I kept mine at or under 3k. What a moment of freedom! lol

I have just completed my break in as well but have yet to really punch the throttle, I haven't seen the redline yet. I traded my 05 Acura RL for this car and even at 4000rpm it feels faster, makes the RL feel slow!!

i remember the first time i test drove it at the dealership. it was an auto and that thing pulls. i have no clue why the 6mt doesnt pull like the auto . it like push me against my seat. i was like whoa, no need to go test drive the 335i and settled for the g37.

What are you talking about? If anything the 6MT pulls more.
