It is safe by the RX-8 I had didnt have nearly as much horsepower but had decent performance but was extremely safe with 12 airbags and it was rated as the hardest car to flip of any car ever by an magazine.

That car weighed a great deal less and was stilll safe. I think they will figure out a way to reduce weight without compromising safety in future models,
