If you choose the S model right from the get go, then it's only 6MT. Like I posted earlier, if you have an S that's an auto, then you technically have a G37 Journey w/ the sports package.
As far as the back-up cam goes, I believe you can only have it if you have NAV.

Whoa, let me clear up my post!
I didn't say cripple the 6MT, i said cripple the AUTO. I bought myself an auto, because honestly, there is no reason why I should get a manual. I drive in traffic plenty of times, and in DS mode, the auto is quicker. If the 6MT had 20 more HP like the G35, I would have gotten a manual instead and dealt with the stop and go traffic.

I do agree though that they should have given more HP to the S edition since that would have been a bigger selling point for them.
As an result, many Infinit Dealers have ZERO 6MTs on the lot.

That makes sense but I dont believe the auto is quicker. The fastest time slips shown have been on the 6MT and least in my research. Regardless, they are very close.

6MT = S
5AT w/ S package = everything the 6MT has except 6 manual gears and a clutch- also includes paddle shifters.
5AT w/o S package = no VLSD, no sports package, different front bumper, less aggresive suspension settings and steering ratios, diffrent seats and stitching, no paddle shifters. A 5AT may come with the sport tire/wheel combo even without the sports package.
I bet that in a couple of years the 6MT will come with a little more HP than the 5AT. This has been Infiniti's pattern even with the previous generation.
