Per Consumer Affairs just now. She had no info available as to when an official announcement might be made, but we have to be close now...

Totally overrated... I'd be happy as a clam if they announced today that the '09 will be the same as the '08. I'd be driving my new G tomorrow for sure.

Why would they make any changes on a car only 1 year newer? I haven't seen this done. It's usually every 2-4+ years.

There is a new 7spd version of their automatic tranny that is going into the 09 FX cars... so the educated guess is that the 09 G37 might inherit this new 7AT as well. That alone is a pretty big change. Plus, they might offer different interior combos (i.e., you currently can't get the rosewood trim in Sport models) If the 09 gets a 7AT *and* has rosewood available in Sport models, i'll probably have no choice but to wait for an '09 (especially since the 09 will also most likely feature fixes to some pre-existing issues found in the '08)

The only thing that would make me think about getting a new G37 would be if it had AWD.

You sure about he pre-existing fixes? Because of 06 g35 has more issues then the 03's.

Talking about 1st gen vehicle problems (Muffler rattle, SW/Nav issues, crappy soft paint even though it's not a 1st gen problem).

Anything can happen. Logic says though that the 09 G37 will probably not suffer from any exhaust rattles, rev while braking, or any other issues that a bunch of 08 G37 owners have complained about (and for which TSBs have been issued).
