Follow up note. I have been working with the window tinter and service manager. They are both willing to work with me but neither has owned up to it. I had multiple close friends take a look at the window and due to the fact that they can only really be seen under very specific lighting conditions the unanimous response was not to let the dealer tear down the factory install. I thought about it for over a week and decided to live with it. The service manager gave me a year of free service for being reasonable and as an act of good faith. I was pleased with this and have moved on. It hasn't detracted from my enjoyment of the G, so all is good.

Its not a big deal to have it replaced... I did and it was simple.

I'm sure you're right. When I had it to the dealer for the 1000 mile inspection, I showed it to my salesperson who sold me the car and we had to tilt our heads various ways just to see them because of the lighting. That coupled with the input of multiple close friends helped with the decision. I hope I don't regret it down the road, so far so good.

OK so I had some bubbles on a car that had been tinted and sitting on the lot for a month, when i bought the car the salesman said they would retint the passanger window for me all the others looked fine. So I went back and they said we will just do all the window exept very back. I said ok great!! Went and picked up my car drove home and now notice 16 scratch marks on the small passenger rear window!!!!!! They look like someone got a razor blade and put lines in it .....16 I counted them!!! Seems like the tinter they use is horrible and I hope it is not the window scratched now.. Took it in to be better and now it is worse!!!

You can buy special glass polish on the internet that will take those scratches out if they're not too deep.
Personally, I wouldn't have the glass replaced if it involved pulling down the headliner. Once the car get's pulled apart, it never fits back together as tightly as it used to. The headliner had to be removed on an previous car of mine to fix the moonroof... it started occasionally rattling after that.
