Experienced this once when I was 16 and filled up my friends dad's benz with 87 instead of 91.

It shouldn't ruin your engine, but I would seifen the remaining gas and fill her up with 91.

IT'S JUST A CAR, IT'S JUST GAS! You guys are rediculous with the adding this and that, siphoning out the gas, consider the "idiot" gas boy did you a favor a saved you $4 on the fill up and move on with life.

If you think it's running rough, currently only you would know. It's your car. You know how she's supposed to feel. It's all good. Run it to half, refill with +93 and be on ur way!

It's only been 3 weeks bro. IT IS FULLY COVERED. If the sh** hits the fan, take it back to the dealership. As far as you know, it's been nothing but 93 or higher in your tank and that's ONLY if they ask!

Treat the situation like I did with an ex gf of mine.... DENY TILL YOU DIE!!!!!!!

Don't buy the high-priced stuff:
Check your owner's manual for the kind of fuel your car needs. If the manual recommends Regular gas, use it. Putting in Premium will do nothing but waste money.

If the manual says Premium fuel is "recommended," but not "required," fill up with Regular. It won't hurt anything and all you'll lose is such a slight amount of peak power that you'll never notice. (How often do you drive with the gas pedal pressed all the way to the floor?) With modern engine sensors, cars can adjust immediately to lower octane fuel without missing a beat. And it will save you about 10% on the price of a fill-up, according to AAA.

only problem you may have is some knocking but i doubt ur 1 tank is gonna do anything. high compressions engines will still run on regular gas, ya premium is wut it was designed for but regular gas aint gonna kill ur car, or remotely damage it unless u hear severe knocking, i wouldnt sweat it at all.

If you are that concerned, add some Ocatane boost to the tank until you run it out

Holy geez, it's not like he put in diesel by accident. Just leave it and empty the tank then fill up with 91. You are wasting your money with 93. Your car's ECU is programmed for 91 so you will not get any benefit of 93, it won't uptune to 93. It will, however, accomodate 87 or 89 without harming your engine. You will lose horsepower, but that's about it. I second the paranoia thing...

You must really love this car, and that's good thing, but you will drive yourself nuts by over analyzing the noises. car is under warranty for a long time.

Oh, and DON"T use additives for such a trivial issue, the car doesn't need any additives.

If it's just a car, then why be the moderator on the G37 forum?

Get yourself a Yugo.

And just because you filled up with 87 where you are a few times doesnt mean thats its okay everywhere... he also could have got a bad batch of gas...

Why lose sleep over $60 when it's so easy to siphon it out and fill up your mom's car with it. I could siphon my tank in a few minutes, in less time than it takes to read this thread.

I'm probably telling you what you already know, but to do this, simply put a hose in your tank, suck on the other end to create a vacuum and stop when you see the gasoline flowing through the hose, then put the free end into a series of gas cans, buckets, etc.

Reverse the procedure and put the gas into your sister's, girlfriend's or mom's economy car. Then fill the rest of your tank up with premium and you're good to go..

The ECu adjusts to the lower octane, it would pin and knock, but it wont give him 330 bhp.

That's all.
