I typically don't believe in additives but one that I have had some good success with is RXP gas additive. I'd throw a bottle in the tank. It definately won't hurt and could really help.

Just throw a bottle of octane booster in there. Probably run you $5-$7 at an auto parts store.

There is no way 87 would make your car 'sound like crap' on start up.

Some people are more sensitive and can feel the change in performance immediately.

I understand your concern and know what you mean by a weird sound.

Experienced this once when I was 16 and filled up my friends dad's benz with 87 instead of 91.

It shouldn't ruin your engine, but I would seifen the remaining gas and fill her up with 91.

It won't ruin your engine, the owner's manual mentions about this situation as well. Like the other guys said, wait till half a tank and fill her up with premium. I am not sure about the gas additive parts, because our cars have the fuel filter in the tank and it might affect it with it sitting in there. But yeah don't run your car to hard because it will really start knocking, however it is your choice to try the octane booster.

Thanks for all the advice guys...I will run her to half and fill her up with premium...And to anyone who thought I couldn't tell upon startup, I'd beg to differ...When the car starts up and sounds clunky and its gasping for air, its pretty easy to realize something is up...

Thanks for tips...

You might as well put some octane boost in it since it is a full tank now. That should help equal it out. Then fill it up with Premium at half a tank.

some of your are really paranoid. don't worry about a single tank of regular. run it until it's empy and fill with 93 next time. no long-term damage...

Honest...Had the car no reacted the way it did, I would have stayed rather calm...But hearing it sputter after only 3 weeks of ownership was a bit concerning...Paranoid? Nah...Disappointed, of course...

BBOY - I will add the octane booster so that it stops running like crap...PS My berk HFC's are supposed to arrive tomorrow...Will I notice any difference in the butt dyno with those alone?

I agree - fill up with 94 octane or 93 at least (some stations like sunoco offer 94) as soon as ur tank is like at 60% or less. run that thru and u should be good to go. Lastly octane booster is cool but make sure to get Chevron or something good...Nothing with flames and fiery ricer decals on it those are questionable - yall know what Im talkin' about right?
