You should get the BMW 135i. It's small, very fast, and very modable! It will have a nice interior with backseats and trunk that is useable. Chip it for a couple thousand bucks and you'll have 370hp and 415lb torque, just like the 335i. It's faster straight line than Cayman(Not Cayman S) and track time is about the same too. I've read 0-60 in 4.7seconds (Pre-mods). Sounds pretty good to me and its decently priced as well!

My dream track tools would be an E36 M3 (approx $10-15K) or a Porsche 964 (approx $20K).

Then you can spend the extra loot on getting it track ready. Brakes, suspension, Sparco seat, tires, etc.
