Auto Door Locking
Yep, Lexus got that one right too.
Not sure if it's a big deal but I've always had aftermarket alarms (Viper) that do this for me. I've never had an issue with it. I've owned many GM vehicles but I can't remember if the newer did this before the alarm was installed??
Either way, it's a simple luxury that should have and could have been easily added to the G, considering it's a 45K car, IMO. However, they are probably holding it for an addition to the 2010 model. Can't add everything the first time, it doesn't bode well for the selling of newer model vehicles.

I've felt conflicted about that as well. I admit it's a pain in the butt locking the door all the time (most of the time I don't even do it), but I can see this from a safety angle too. I guess it annoys me switching between the G and my Accord since it auto locks and unlocks when the ignition turns on and off.
We have had multiple '08 owners purchase and install the auto lock module (and a couple of speed switches as well).
It's a pretty straight forward install - the BCM is in the drivers kick and you'll find all the wires you need there. You still need a relay pack, which adds a few more wires in to the mix, but nothing too difficult.

Doors should unlock when you turn off the motor... I think the the off switch is under "settings" on the screen. You can download the owner's manual in PDF, then it's easy to search it via keywords.
