What?
Are you asking if it is ok for your car to get wet? If so, Yes...

Are you concerned that you ran through a deep pothole? If so, check your wheels for any damage. Also, drive down a level and straight road. Let go of the wheel to check your tracking. If it still drives straight and your wheels look ok then your car is probably in good shape....

No, there are splash guards on the bottom of the vehicle that prevent water from splashing on the engine block etc..

Unless you actually flood the car to the point that it stalls, there is no damage done....

If you get your car wet, it will stop working once you shut it off, It will no longer turn on.

Yeah but at least snowboarding season is at its peak

I think the worst think I did was drive through an apartment complex parking lot during one of those rainy weeks a couple months ago. There was this one area of the parking lot that had flooded and I didn't notice while finding a space. Then something near my left wheel started to steam, at which point I stuck my head out the window and realized about 1/3 of my tire was submerged. I slowly backed out of the "lake"...no harm done.

I think what SkyzDaL1m1T is referring to is hydrolocking the car by driving through deep puddles. You sound like you've done it before so I'm probably not telling you anything new, but you would know right away if your engine took in water. Pretty much start spewing smoke from the exhaust until your engine just dies. Then you'd be looking for a new car because that engine's pretty much done, water does not compress well. Water is not bad for the car until your intakes are completely submerged. So unless the puddles were coming over your hood then you're ok, unless you've somehow fitted a CAI on the car.

When people say you shouldn't drive through deep puddles fast is because the water that is lifted over your car has the potential of entering the engine intakes. The street in front of my old apartment flooded like crazy during rain storms, and it was a minefield of hydrolocked cars in there from people thinking it would be "fun" to speed through the water. Either way if she's still running today, you're ok.

I was just in the valley on saturday. The rain wasn't as bad over there as it was where I live (San Gabriel Valley). I went through a few of those puddles. My worst drive this past week so far was having to drive on the 110. The last itm eit rained this hard and I drove on the 110 in my Mustang, one of the deep puddles acutally broke one of my fog lamps.
