It's a myth. I have an 06 and guess what the problems of the 03 are present in the 06's.. And another thing, the 06 has more issues. Such as Oil Consumptions.
But the problems with the 03, such as window motor, sunroof motor, rattles, radio, etc etc.... Are all present in the 06 and 07 G35... The only fix I know of is the downgrade to OEM brakes instead of Brembos..
The only difference is navi upgrade and slight interior modifications. I dont' think they fixed anything. They probably screwed it up with the Rev-up motor.

There's no G37's up here, yet. Including the one I don't have.
I'm lurking around here to learn about the car. I intend to buy one later on this yr. I'll let someone else take the big hit for buying it new. I'll never buy another new car again.
In the mean time, I drive a pretty heavily modified FX35 and am very much involved in all things FX. I've been all over the US to different FX functions in the last 3.5 yrs. I organized a National Meet for FX35/45's down in Dallas, TX in September of 2005. Right from this very chair. We ran them at the Texas Motorplex against the lights and did a dyno day, too.
My FX35 will do a 6.7 0-60. I've got 95-100 autocross runs on it and it's been to the Gingerman Race track down in South haven 3 times. I'll be going back down in May to race again.
I hold my own.
The G37 has caught my eye and I intend to have one. Since I still love what I drive, I have no problem being a little patient-

My original 0-60 time was 7.3-7.4.
There are only two NA FX35's on our forum to break the 7 second barrier. One out in NY and me.
We get 250"-300" of snow up here every winter. With my Blizzaks on the FX, I've gone through snow up to the Infiniti logo on the grill--no problem. The AWD system on this car is phenominal!
Autocrossing or at the track, I've gained the respect of many, many seasoned racers from both venues. Last time at the Gingerman Track last May, I had about 10 guys coming over to stare at the FX. They were astounded at the performance. I kept up with a RS4 through the corners, but he would gain on me in the 3 straightaways. Can't beat 450hp

The FX is a truly amazing vehicle! Quite the package. A cruiser, a racer, a snow vehicle---------it covers a lot of territory.
Oh wait, this is the G37 forum. I was starting to gush a bit-

As far as mods to the G37--that's why I'm here. To watch and wait and learn what's available and how they'll work.
I'll seriously be looking at anything Tony (Motordyne) produces.
