they sell them because idiots like me opt for the sport package when clearly they have a package with all season tires you can take instead.

i dont regret it.

the dealer i got mine from only had sport packaged G's... and that was in Minneapolis, MN. winter wonderland. maybe thats why i got such a smokin deal

I specifically wanted the sport packege with the VLSD for winter driving.

Here's what I got for a winter package. I'm still getting used to the traction control but it seems to handle pretty good in the snow.

The issues are obvious and have been reported on this website....apparently you've been too busy driving through malls and fell behind on your reading

of course this is coming from someone who doesnt own a g37...

I've had zero issues with my g37. My orig g35 coupe had many of the reported issues from way back then (window streaking, seat heater switched, squeaks etc..).

i have winter blizzaks on 18" rims just for the snow season up here in boston. I've been driving on snow/ice to and from work up/down a hill on my private road with no issue at all. My 2003 g coupe with summer tires in the winter was a white-knuckle experience.. never.. ever drive your car with summers anywhere near a snowflake!

I find it rather comical that most G37 owner refuse to accept that someone may actually prefer the older coupe...typically making statements as the one above...ironically, I drove a G37, and other than the cosmetically improved interior, I personally don't find much improvement over the old coupe. To complete your statement: yes this is coming from someone who owns a G35, but that's because I chose it to be that way switching over to the new car would be just a decision away...

*clears throught* ahem...

Listen here BlackG35Stud,

Clearly you haven't been "reading" the boards as well as you thought you did.
If there is anyone on this forum thats had the rotten luck of experiencing your so called "issues" -its me (even then, i've only experienced one)- https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-coupe/175658-my-g-is-falling-apart-seatbelt-came-apart-while-driving.html. Needless to say I love my G37S, i can also testify to having owned a G35 alongside with my brother who also has one -even still. It's still too early to have this conversation on which car has less issues -i mean if you think a car thats only months old has more issues than a car thats been out since 2003 you must be on . that said, i believe we can dig up plenty of reasons for you to consider a 37..headlight recals on the G35, oil consumption, premature brake wear, brake dust etc.. etc...http://g35driver.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=280

The only other problems i've encountered so far are the oversized brakes (having a hard time fitting 18" rims....i know, pitty me) and the mall parking lot issue which i cleverly solved by rolling down the windows.

Its obvious your looking past the issues related to the G35 but dont think for a second your better off than any G37 owner on this forum. I mean, you might be paying 20 bucks less a month than us (or more) but thats about it IMO. The g35 is a great car, i know, but the G37 is a different car. Engine, interior, technology and the overall sound and presence that makes the G coupe so desireable has been underlined and highlighted with the 37.

i hope you enjoy your G as much as we are ours. they're both great cars but in my opinion -there is no comparison.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to swing by the mall with my windows rolled down.

Do you really think Infiniti (or any other car manufacturer for that matter) should change the type of tires installed on the assembly line based on the seasons?

IMO, it's the owner's responsibility to equip themselves with proper tires for their driving conditions.......not the manufacturer.

And I find it rather comical that some G35 owners refuse to accept that some prefer the G37........but then again I have no idea what your point is. Some people like the G35, some people like the G37, some people like both, and some people like neither. YOU might not find it to be much of an improvement over the G35, but that is YOUR opinion and you are obviously NOT speaking for everyone. If you are enjoying the G35, keep driving it and have fun with it as it's a fantastic car........but don't bag on the people here that happen to like the G37 better.

+1, I agree

Oh and Dzine bravo to the G37 apologetics...that was pretty well thought out....I feel the 37 is definitely more refined and a little less 350Z...it captures the "luxury" in luxury coupe a lil better...

Lovely composition, however:

1) I never claimed to be better off, it just becomes hard for people with the G37 to accept that someone prefers the previous car.

2) I drive an 07 -> headlights do not need a recall, oil burning? When? where? Let's face it, Infiniti had 4 years to make the G35 a better car and I happened to purchase the last year in production. Now if you think that the 2-3 things that people are complaining about are the only things that will need to be addressed on the G37, just wait and see buddy!

3) I much rather have all the problems you listed, than get into a car accident while holding my seatbelt holder

4) I've never really purchased my cars thinking on whether they will get me laid or not...that's rather pathetic...fortunately, I could be driving a scooter and get the same results that being said, I save the gasoline on the trip to the mall for better things.

Show me where I was "banging" on G37 drivers and I will apologize. All I said was that typically G37 drivers resort to saying "oh well, he doesn't drive one therefore he doesn't like it," when in fact some of us prefer the older car. I could actually link you to several posts where this has been done before, except I have better things to do with my time. Anyhow, this is useless, I just gave my opinion and look at the way most of you react to it, it's pathetic lol...

LOL. Reread my post above please. IIRC, I stated that some like the G35 while some like the G37. I still don't see your point. If you want to read threads about G35 owners trashing the G37 you might want to start reading some threads from earlier this year......but then again who really cares what anyone else thinks? You talk like the G37 has all these issues and the G35 has had none. That's not the case bro. In the end both are great cars.

Anyways......back on topic!

OH great... lovely vibe in here. Its like daddy just hit mommy across the dinner table. -Dane Cook

SOME G35 recalls....just some though -i dont wanna burst his bubble.
http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2003/...i/g35/recalls/

http://www.internetautoguide.com/aut...g35/index.html

At any rate. That just took me a couple of seconds on my iphone so dont flatter yourself (and no, the iphone has no issues or recalls -its actually quite nice). I got it because it syncs with my cars Navi system... but thats not the point... the point is that you believing i actually go to the mall and pick up chicks via the sunroof or windows is quite entertaining...which in turn means your gullible -which in turn again means you believe deep down inside that your car is not only free from any bad karma but NOT vulnerable to defects....because WE ALL KNOW THAT THE 2007 INFINITI G35 COUPE WAS BLESSED BY BABY JESUS HIMSELF AT THE ASSEMBLY LINE IN CLOUD CITY. We understand...

However, before you go back to the G35 forums and tell your buddies what bad people we are I just wanna make it clear that not only have you no experience with a 37 long enough to reserve you the right to comment but your also not even understanding the topic of this thread.

Enjoy your ride and do yourself a favor and check the build date on your car... if i read the links above correctly you have some things that need looking after: (thanks to baby Jesus himself that these problems were caught in the last generation G and didnt work themselves into the G37's!...WHEW!)

Make / Models : Model/Build Years:
INFINITI / G35 COUPE 2006-2007
Recall Number: 06V394000

Summary:
CERTAIN VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE ‘VERTICAL GRADIENT’ AND ‘HEADLAMP PHOTOMETRIC VALUES’ REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, 'LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.'
Consequence:
THIS STANDARD IS TO REDUCE CRASHES, INJURIES AND DEATHS BY PROVIDING ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION OF THE ROADWAY, AND BY ENHANCING THE CONSPICUITY OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE PUBLIC ROADS SO THAT THEIR PRESENCE IS PERCEIVED AND THEIR SIGNALS UNDERSTOOD, BOTH IN DAYLIGHT AND IN DARKNESS OR OTHER CONDITIONS OF REDUCED VISIBILITY.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT YET PROVIDED AN OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. OWNERS MAY CONTACT INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200.
Notes:
CUSTOMERS CAN ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION’S VEHICLE SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), OR GO TO HTTP://WWW.SAFERCAR.GOV
