My New G37 ... 1hr Old Already Hit !!!

All I gotta say is Damn, that sucks. You're stuck between a hard rock on this one. Just hope that the body shop will do a very detailed job on the installation/assembly and paint. I think the paint should match pretty well considering that the paint is new and has not faded in any way.

The guy hit you so you have to submit a claim to his insurance. Fight and tell them you want the difference or work it out with the dealer to ge a lower trade. That car should only have depreciated the most 5000.00. Or talk to your neighbor and get a settlement. Keep the car for a year, make some $$ then get a 2009. Just a thought. He didn't intentially do it.... I know the feeling, 1st week of my new QX someone scraped front bumper; 1st month of my s2000 rear bumper got hit then w/in a week my neighbor backed into me and hit same repaired bumper!

Calm down everbody, it's not that bad . . .
As a retired body shop guy first let me say that getting hit on your bumper, even the corner of the bumper is the best place to get hit if you have a choice to receive your damage. It's a one-piece part and the color will match throughout when painted. Because computers now match paint color-matching is super-precise, much better than it was 15-20 years ago. Second, there won't be any real dent repair (from what I can see in the pictures) and the coil spring tray is an easy part replacement, you won't notice the difference once the car is repaired properly. Bumpers are bumpers, they all get scratched or dinged sooner or later, sorry yours was this soon of course. You don't need a new car from a simple accident like this, I think everybody is getting you worked up for no reason at all. I have seen a lot worse turn out unnoticeable. Get the car fixed, I'm sure the guy feels terrible, at least he was honest and sincere about the accident, many aren't. It will look like new once they are done and you will forget about this little thing in time. Good luck with the fix!
