Options on Covering your ride

Hey I was just wondering if anyone could tell me of a good cover for my car like a tent or something thats not to big but can cover the whole car. I bought a car cover from Pep Boys last week, but its to big. The dealership hasn't gotten any in yet for the G37S. I'm going to return the car cover, it's to much of a pain in the *** to get it on. I want something to cover my car since I have to park it in my uncovered driveway, and keep it safely from tree sap from my neighbors tree which hovers over my driveway. I also live in Los Angeles which doesn't have the best air quality. I notice these little yellow spots that come on the car which drives me crazy. Its easy to wipe them away but I hate seeing them, especially after I just had the car washed the day before. I don't know if its from the plants in the frontyard next to my ride or if its from the air. Does anyone else know or have this problem. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good car tent or canopy like cover for the car, instead of having to use a car cover.

Im not sure what your dealer is talking about...

I have them instock... THey include the tie down / vehicle cover lock as well...

The OE cover is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for... A very durable product that is tear resistant, does not soak up water... lets the vehicle breathe... Also, it does not catch little tiny rocks or large dust particles that can scratch your paint when it is installed...

PM me for pricing along with your ZIP code.

Thanks for the replys fellas
I actually just got a canopy from pep boys
like the ez up canopy but this one is called
Shade Tech and also got weights with it to make sure it stays put
I guess its the best option instead of dealing with a car cover that you have to put on and off all the time.

Cut the branches off your neighbors tree. Technically by it being on your side of the property line, you own those branches.

I ended up getting the Infiniti Branded one as well from the link above. I ordered it last friday. After speaking with SOLOPRESIDENT earlier, he recommended asking around dealers and stuff. that $225+tax sounds tempting considering i paid $270 for mine delivered. Here is a link to a thread I started on another board with the same topic: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/290907

Years ago for my E46 I got one from Cal Car Cover. After I got rid of the lease I sold it on an online forum for about 75% of what I paid for it. Looks like they don't have one specifically for the G37 yet, just the G35, but you might write them to find out one is available now. http://www.calcarcover.com/

max is right, it's your property, so you can trim what overhangs it.

I used to use a car cover religiously on one of my older cars when it was new. And this was back in the days when paint was much tougher.

I would put it on everyday when I got to work. What I've noticed is that no matter how much the cover manufacturer says they will not trap dirt .. they always do - it's inevitable. Over time, I noticed surface scratches showing up which is caused by dust getting on the car when you drive, or dust blowing under the cover when it is covered. I used to get someone to help me shake off all the dust from the cover on a weekly basis too.

IMO, I prefer no cover and just spending a couple hours each weekend washing the car ... just my .02.
