Trip Computer

Quick question for you guys, did a quick search but didn't see anything relevant.

This is probably a stupid question, but I looked in the manual and couldn't find how to do it...anyone know how to reset the trip computer?

The manual only talks about how to reset a subscreen within the display which shows time and distance I believe. You can reset that to 0 anytime, but for some reason the lower portion of the display that displays the total odometer reading and distance on trip computer A does not reset. I know there should be a way to do it, otherwise why have both the odometer and a trip A computer reading.

Also a miscellaneous question for those that have the tech package, has anyone ever received any damage from a rock or object flying into the ICC in the front bumper? This would probably be applicable to anyone with a 07 G35 sedan as well since I noticed they have them as well. I figure since it's so open it's just asking for a rock to come flying in there and bust it up.

There is the button on the left side of the dash, right next to your steering wheel that allows you to switch between a and b. Just keep that button pressed down to reset to 0.

I haven't had any problem with stuff flying into the sensor. Hopefully Infiniti thought of this and made it impact resistant.

Callaway answered the trip odometer reset question. It can be overwhelming to try and learn all of this stuff in a short amount of time.

It's taken me a month to get comfortable with my car. A lot of that has to do with having driven Honda's and Acura's for the past 7 years.

Keep the faith.

Thanks Callaway, I guess I didn't look hard enough. I'll give that a try tonight

That's cool, I still haven't programed the memory seat. I only had my car a week and already have 900 miles on it! I love my first G37 and the car before this was 2004 Honda Accord Coupe V6 w/MT6 nighthawk black.

Oh man, the button says Trip Comp A/B or something right on it...stupid! I'm used to the little peg that's usually sticking out by the trip computer. That's how it was on my G35 and my Accord before it, thanks Callaway.

No doubt gurneyeagle, there is a lot to learn on this car, most of it is pretty intuitive though. I'm always pleasantly surprised when I try something on the car thinking "it would be nice if it worked this way" and it does. This is the first issue I've had that wasn't blatantly obvious, at least to me...to anyone else with half a brain it probably would have been...

Orbie I just drove 850 miles on Monday and couldn't find that button either! It's not like I had a lot to do during that time either....don't feel bad. (or maybe I should too!?)
