ANyone know the crash safety ratings for the G37?
Well I'm trying to convince my dad to get one since my last car was stolen -.- and he says that there was a news or something on Infiniti's crash testing that sucked or something? I disagreed with him and he kinda got mad o_o I mean for a 40k-45k car it SHOULD be great right
I don't think they're out yet? The 2007 sedan ratings are excellent if that helps.

What he saw was that the infiniti ranked among the most expensive to repair after a low speed bumper to bumper traffic accident. Had nothing to do with the actual safety of the vehicle. The more complex the vehicle, the more expensive to repair.
I saw the same report on Fox or CNN.

Even a minor fender bender from the front or rear could be potentially expensive. In the front, I have that sensor for the adaptive cruise, in the rear is the camera for back-up plus dual exhaust. As far as crash safety, I have no doubts this car is one of the safest out there.
The G37 will be as expensive to repair as the G35 coupe, especially the rear bumper. Take a look at the lines of the car and where things attach. If you get hit somewhat hard in the back ... not only will bumper be involved, but trunk / rear quarterpanel .... $$$$$ quickly.
I fear the insurance on this thing will be high due to repair costs.

All 2008 models now are required to show the crash test ratings on the window sticker in the state of CA atleast. Most of our 2008 models dont show anything because it takes them so long to get the ratings. I expect to see some ratings for the G37 in about 7 months.

If you get hit in the back, it's not your money, but the person at fault.
