Pretty doubtful Infiniti is going to reduce the displacement of the G. The Q would have retained the 45 designation because of it's already low awareness brand identity and because going down in size is not as desirable as going up, from a marketing perspective.

Recent marketing for the new G sedan doesn't even mention the "35" which is possibly a precursor for a displacement bump in the future.
Most certainly. The designation G37 and M37 has already been trademarked by Infiniti so it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see the new coupe with a bigger engine. But being that the Skyline in Japan uses the VQ25HR as well, then there will always be the possibilty that they may try to bring the smaller engine to the US and Canada. Some may think that a less powerful G25 may be a step backwards, but there's only one way to find out(hey HP ain't everything).
Will Infiniti take that step? Who knows.....

You could be right. Leaving the numerical name mention out right now could mean a lower and/or higher displacement option. I have been told there are numerous new models coming out in the next number of years. One is an SUV for sure but the rest?
