Rear dash cam mount positioning

I have a convertible and I’m taking the dash cam off of my equinox and putting it on my vert. It came with a rear mounted camera.

How would I go about wiring that camera to where it doesn’t get messed up by the hydraulics of the convertible top?

Has anybody had a direct experience with this? Not that big of a deal just curious.
