G37 Convertible battery issues
G37 Convertible battery issues
My car has been. Sitting approximately one month (battery 2 yrs old)
Went to start and it was dead. Boosted and took for a drive.
Battery showing about 12.1 volts on My meter.
Also getting a beeping sound long after car 🚗 has been shut off.
Nothing has been left on….?
Anyone else with a similar problem?
Thx😎

By all means check for codes and have the battery checked.
Also, if your 'Vert is going to be sitting idle for weeks at a time you may want to consider installing a battery tender/ maintainer to prevent the battery from becoming discharged.

TLDR - Get a new battery. 2-3 years isn't bad for these. No need to try and nurse it. 12.1V is very low. A fully charged battery should read 12.6 or 12.7 volts.
I had a similar issue when my battery died a year or so ago. It wasn't keeping a charge. I had the beeps, poor starting or no start. Jumped the car in the morning, drove to work, after work it started fine, drove home, then wouldn't start the next morning. I thought I had a charging issue. Finally got a new battery from AutoZone. Same exact problems, so I thought it might be my charging system. I took the battery back to AutoZone and it tested BAD, so I swapped the "GOLD" battery out for "PLATINUM" at AutoZone, thinking I might as well get the best. After two days I had the same issues. What are the odds? Still thought it was a problem with the charging system or some parasitic load. Took it to the dealership. The battery tested BAD (this was the second one from AutoZone). They found no problems with the charging system, no parasitic loads, so I had them put a Nissan battery in. I've had no problems since. It was $199 including installation. That was about what I paid for the Platinum at AutoZone. I took that back for a full refund. I will be getting a new Nissan battery the next time.

Experiencing this currently!I googled it and it says to check the battery in my key fob which probably is the culprit! My bigger issue is that since my battery died my whole nav/radio/heating and air arent working with the buttons! The screen says check usb/ipod??!! Any ideas??
