I bought a pair of replacement gears off Ebay. These like replacements for the plastic gear about an internal smaller metal gear of the original equipment. These Ebay offers look like they were metal printed. My problem is that the inner gear insert does not fit into the printed replacement gear. I've tried heating the outer gear without success. Other recommendations? Replacement Left / right gears (top), dead orig gear (bot).
Guy Manard is referenced as having made machined one-piece gear replacements. Is he still supplying these and do they fit the 2013/G37? I would like to get my Conv top working again.
I tried so many times to advise verts owners to be carefull when they are attracted to buy those plastic/carbon or diecast partial gears...Plastic ones don't last and, as you seem experiencing, the metal ones don't always fit!...That's probably why they are at cheaper price...You get what you pay for ...It's not always the best solution!!!
I still have those solid (and complete) gears for sale and, I guaranteed that they are direct fit for all years from 2009 to 2015.
