Flap gear
Its your flap gear tht is broken, they are made from cheap plastic. Go to other post on the site, you wil have all explanation about it.
i get some metal gears machined ( sold all of them but manage to get more done). Will get the price tomorrow so, will be able to get answers in next days.
sure of on thing, cost you less than replacing all linkage assembly ( +- 1500 at the dealer). And its easy to replace the gears itself...

Be shure at 100% that is the gear and not cable...It's not realy a cable, but a flexible rod between the motor and the gear housing, and it cant break!
The symptom and the photo of your flap, tell me is the gear, no doubt.

I found the guy selling the metal gears on this forum. Like $300. Seems steep. I'll take it apart and see if I can fix it with apoxy or 3d print a new one. Thank you for your input!

Guy Menard is right. I have used JB WELD and 4 different epoxies to fix the gear on my flipper door, and they just don't hold up. And this has been over the course of a year. I work in aerospace and use epoxies everyday. I even showed my engineers, and every single one of them said to replace the gear. Either 3D print it using nylon, metal, or have one machined. And this was all because I saw Guy's post about having a shop make the metal gears for him. I procrastinated and thought someone can do it better. Even though Guy had already tried and I subsequently followed his same exact failures, LOL. The price is steep, but under careful consideration a(pressure from my wife because I have to help her open her top), I have to invest in a machined replacement gear. I believe Guy was selling a set, so mind as well change them both while you have everything taken apart. There are threads on here how to take it all apart and reassemble the flipper door assy.
Guy...once you find a price, I will gladly take a set.
