New Convertible owner- Huge thank you to this forum
I just purchased a 2011 Convertible sport with 102k miles in it. Car is wicked quick and fun to drive! Those forum has been very helpful with what the best bang for the HP buck along with how to do maintenance on the vehicle.
Although, I now have anxiety about the top breaking at any time, I tell myself I'll never put it up and leave it down all the time 😄 haha!
I'm getting Berk HFC, Stillen cat back(I need something on the quiet side when not WOT), Z1 intake hoses, power stop rotors and pads. I'll use SOHO for the Ecutek remote tune after those are installed in the next couple of weeks.
My last fun car that wasn't a minivan was a 1994 Toyota Celica. I had big dreams of swapping that engine to the JDM St205, but life got in the way. Driving this G37 feels like the Celica, but in a more refined luxurious way. Like the grownup version really.
I'm excited to be part of the club and hopefully I didn't join 5 years too late.

Congrats on this purchase. One of the best convertibles out there for the price.
One question for you. How much rattle occurs in the top when the top is up and you are going over slightly rough roads? I'm contemplating the same but worried about the top rattles.

That's a good question. I have only driven it one time with the top up and I don't remember much rattling. However, my exhaust is really loud and there's a drone. One of the previous owners had to get new cats and they used universal and welded the pipes together extremely poorly and this leaking at those gobs of weld.
However, once I get the new High Flow Catalytics and exhaust system installed, I'll have a better idea.
The one time I did drive with top up, it was pouring down rain and it's kinda loud. There's no sound proofing on the metal and plastic roof so you hear all the tings.
Even if it rattled some, I don't think it would be a deal killer to me as the car and driving experience is phenomenal. But, this isn't my daily driver
I have and it for three weeks and wouldn't go back.
