I'd love a vanity plate, but refuse to pay the state a penny more than I have to for annual car reg. Mine would say "RTFM" or "FFS RTFM"

If it's something you really want, why not? Have mine, though it's meaning is known only to me, but I still wouldn't trade it for the world.

The state screws me out of enough tax money, may as well get something I like/ for me out of that wasted money.

Exactly. It's just a tag. It doesn't have to represent anything more than what it is, which is something inexpensive that makes you happy.

Custom personal tags! Did somebody say custom tags? I love my custom tags and I get smiles, thumbs up and positive comments about them all the time. Currently I have the following plates on my cars.
ZIPPEE on a 2010 G37S convertible
ZIPITE (pronounced ZIP-I-TEE) on a 2006 F350
DOODAH on a 1928 Model A Tudor street rod
DOODA 2 on a 1928 Model A Coupe street rod
And we are contemplating what plates she wants to put on her 2012 G37S Coupe.
so I guess we are kinda into it.

I'm thinking you get smiles and thumbs up due to the Very unique cars, regardless of the plates.

I bought my G in Europe. When I shipped it to the US, I noticed as it was driving away on the moving van, I forgot to take the European tags off. I still have the front tag on today 3 years later.
