2011 G37 convertible reliability?
2011 G37 convertible reliability?
I'm looking for a used G37s and I happened to come across a 2011 G37s convertible with 113,253 miles for 10k.
I'm guessing this a good deal considering I haven't been able to find a G37s within my budget and with the preferred amount of miles that I would be comfortable with.
My question is, are these older convertibles known for their issues and is going to be a total money pit?

that sounds a little high. I just bought an '11 with 64k miles for $12K. The top can be finicky, i just spent the last month understanding the mechanics and hydraulics of the system. Ended up replacing the pump and undoing poor some work the PO did. Also, the flipper door on the trunk are very costly to replace if you can find one. Guy Menard on the forum can provide a pair of new gears, but once again you need to be handy to perform the repair. I think the engine is pretty bulletproof, except I have heard some problems with cam seals.
Key point: shop around... you will find a better deal.
Now that you know you want it just wait these cars go up constantly on the websites. Not sure where your located but I flew from NY to NC to get mine at a good price. Granted cost me like 45 bucks for the flight and about 80 in gas driving back but sometimes just what you have to do. Just don’t jump on the first one you see. I got mine off car gurus which was located by auto tempest. I waited 6 months to pull the trigger on the purchase. Just set up reminders for yourself on these sites to notify you when a vert goes up for sale. I’m sure you can find one decently priced.
