I need a G!!
Hey, new to the forum. I have been looking to get a new car for around 4-5 months now. I have done tons of research and read review after review about tons of cars. I have ended up wanted to get a G37S coupe. I have test drove a couple and fell in love. Now, I am having a major problem trying to find one in my area that I like. I am looking for probably a 2011 with around 40k miles in the price range of $20-24k. I find them all over the place in NY, FL, GA and all over the east coast in that price range but rarely come across one over here in the west. The same car seems to go for about $4-6k more just to buy it somewhere in a surrounding state. Is my price range unrealistic or should I be able to find one without having to fly out to the east coast? Or should I start looking for something with more miles or an older year?
Side note:
I had found a 2010 g37 Anniversary Edition with 42,000 miles that I was going to go down and test drive and would have bought today unless I had found something terribly wrong on the test drive for $21,990 (I don't think they know it was the AE). But someone came into the dealership last night and payed cash for it and now I'm back to square one.
^ I was so stoked to get that thing and now I'm pretty sad someone bought it only 12 hours before I did because I wasn't able to get down there because of my work schedule. AHH!!

You should be able to find what you want. I would look for at least a 2011 if not newer due to the slight refresh. It may be worth it to fly somewhere and drive the car back. I just did a search on autotrader and got back 3500 results with 2011 and up, G37, 26k and under, 40k miles and under. It's got to be out there. You may need to raise your budget or expand your search range.
True, I also have been watching auto trader. Once you put in a filter for sport model and coupe I get a total of 16 results. Only 1 within 500 miles and the rest are between 1100 - 1500 miles away. Didn't think it was going to be this hard to find one.
I'm not sure if you're anywhere close to a Canadian border? US dollar is worth 25% more up here. You might be able to pick up a great deal. Opens your available options. I did the opposite a few years ago when the Canadian dollar was at par with the US dollar -- importing a car to Canada was easy. No clue if it's just as easy the other way. Worth considering if you find that your options are limited.

You should def be able to find it somewhere. But I agree that some of them dont know what they have. I found a few that post what they think it is and it is wrong. I luckily found one! I just bought a 2013 G37S6MT Sedan for $25K with 33000 miles so I'm pretty sure you can find what you are looking for as well. Are you picky on color? That usually limits a lot from what I saw when looking for my car.
I was surprised that mine was listed as a Prem/Nav (only) but it wasn't until I saw all the photos when I realized it was a Sport; Allow wheels, paddles, 10way Seat, etc. So yes, I agree. Those filters out there aren't very good. So keep a close eye out for the deals.
I have one for sale in spokane WA. Search G37S coupe in the spokane Craigslist and hit me up if you are interested. Ill go $20K for a forum member instead of the $22 thats posted. its older and higher miles but has a lot of good work done to it and was treated incredibly well its whole life.
It's a great car but I need to reprogram by transmission 😢
