Stains on headliner on C-pillars

So I bought this car, from SanFran, with only 35k miles and being 7 years old (2012).

I'm wondering if anyone else has these stains on the C-pillar. It was like that when I bought the car. Of course, the pictures online didn't show this and I bought it sight unseen in person.

Anyone else have these stains and anyone know how they developed? I'm thinking MAYBE the top was down and it was raining?

I have the same stains on my 2011 vert, I think it must be from rain with the top being down.

I think it was due to someone putting the top down w/the top still wet.

Found no leaks yet (knock on wood).

Try steam cleaning it before hitting it with chemicals.

Having sex on the top perhaps?
Not quite the mile high club?

I had mine cleaned once by a detailed. Turned out great, until we left it outside in the rain again!
