Hey guys, first post here. Skip to the third paragraph if you don't want backstory.
I've never owned any Nissan or Infiniti products before, but I have always loved the G37S. I got a chance to drive a coupe a few months back and started testing the waters to see what they go for now. I picked up a 12 black Sport Convertible 6MT with 79k for $12,000!!!! It's in amazing shape and had one owner which was a now retired doctor in his sixties. No body work ever, no engine work ever so far. Giant stack of service records all the way down to receipts for valve caps, and leather care products. Just as I had experienced with my first test drive, the clutch is a bear to get used to, but anyone into sports cars can appreciate the violent grabbing of a well made clutch. I buy 2-3 inexpensive cars per year and dump money into them and then sell them. I don't care if I lose money, I love it and it's worth it to me. I always keep one car for a few years and rotate the others. This car seems to be one that I would keep a while. I want to work on it, regardless of whether or not it's necessary. I am having it tinted and having the curb rash repaired and rims repainted gloss black at the moment. Brakes have judder and after pulling the wheels and seeing that the pads are getting low, I've ordered a full set of pads and rotors.
I am interested in experimenting with the controversial Pulstar Plasmacore spark plugs as I know that with the car now at 81000 miles on the original plugs, it's not a bad time to replace them. After researching the plugs, I'm seeing that they offer them ONLY for the 2010 and 2013 G37... I researched plugs on different sites to compare model numbers between plugs for the 12 and for the 13 and then I looked at the forum here to see if there were any notable differences and I'm not finding anything solid. If I buy the plugs for the 13, are they hotter, colder, shorter, longer, or is it just a gap difference? Or maybe the Pulstar website is the same poor quality as their plugs and they are exactly the same. I just want to experiment with them for 20k miles and see if they hold up.
I'm also interested in a short ram intake for SOUND ONLY, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for one that is inexpensive but maybe comes with compartment separation walls to mimic an airbox.
First of all, what a nice looking convertible coupe AND a 6 speed manual.... very nice!
All G37s use the same spark plug: Denso: FXE24HR11
If they have a listing for a 2010/2013 G37, that should work on all G37s. Please make sure to share your finding here.
For your warm air intake / short ram you might want to have a look at z1motorsports.com, they have a few options for under $400.

Welcome to the group. If you say you buy inexpensive cars to mod and flip. Mya I suggest you either keep this one or mod it appropriately?
At the end it's only fair to the next owner who wants this car. Stay with Denso oem plugs. Many people come from other fields and cars into the G37 world throwing their experience into the infiniti world only to find out originally the car is extremely well put together.
We see it here all the time, individuals with a set budget who want a bit more umphh asking for opinions. The forum always helps, the problem is the advice is not always followed. This is met sometimes with further threads asking for help on the choices they took.
Reason I say this, a Black sport coupe 6mt is a really nice car it is really up to you to take care of it.

Thank you! I checked the site out, and it's awesome! $400 is pretty reasonable for a short ram. I'm seeing CAI's in the $700 range and that's a bit steep given the fact that performance isn't a goal.
I ordered the Denso's and I'll be ordering the Pulstars tonight just to experiment. I'll post my experience with them.
