Convertible Top does not work...

HELP!!!!.. My wife left the passenger seat all the way up and the seat headrest would not allow the passenger side top to close completely leaving a gap of 1 inch. The driver side did closed completely (the top from the driver side closed and the passenger side was semi-close with a gap of 1 inch). I had a mechanic looked at it and he was able to close it manually (don't ask me how...) because it was raining and I didn't want the inside to get wet. Anyhow, now the top would not open nor close. I tried disconnecting the battery, but it didn't work. Do you guys know if the top can be open manually or can I disable the hydraulic pump so that they can access the mechanism which is in the trunk, but the trunk doesn't open either because the system says that the roof is in operation. Please HELP!!. I am in NYC, if someone knows a place around NYC that can fix it, please let me know.

After disconnecting the battery, ensure you hold the roof closed button for at least 10 seconds to perform a reteach.

At least 5 minutes to reset the computer.

When you reconnect, you'll need to reset the top by holding the top close for 10 sec.

Also you'll have to reset your windows. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely
