Front Bumper Cover

I'm thinking about buying totaled front hit '13 IPL convertible. Imagine my shock to find that the front cover costs over $2000 and the radar costs almost as much. What's the difference between the coupe and convertible front covers? I read that convertibles are wider bodies. Are there aftermarket convertible covers available? How about the fenders? Are they different? Any other thoughts about convertible ownership?

Anybody know this car?

Thank You. It's been a good hobby, and not having a car payment is nice. Ready for the next project! I loved doing first generation Chevy Cruzes. Common is cheap and good when it comes to parts, so an IPL G37 convertible creates some doubts in my mind.

Edit: Judging by the pictures, it's a base model. It doesn't have sport seats or IPL marking. I still might buy it if I can get it home for $5,000 or less. A sport cover is about $400, so not close to what IPL stuff costs.

I hear you on not having car payments. So nice....If you can get it for $5k or less I'd say go for it. the only thing i might wonder about is the cost of parts for the top and any associated parts as some of the vert threads on here seem to indicate that they are sensitive to precise alignment of the moving parts and some mechanical failures requiring replacement of larger components... but I feel like you can handle those issue...looking forward to seeing a progress thread on it if you do go for it.

Yea, that does not look like an IPL.
Good luck with restoring this one. Great work on the sedan!
