I was today's year old when I found these cars were hydraulic top, which is a good thing because it means these do not fail often.
What does fail is the gearing and flaps not wanting to move when they're supposed to.

@Guy Menard was one of the first to come up with a solution to the convertible plastic gears these bring and can help with any other issues I believe in case dealer/insurance doesnt yield anything.

Good news on knowing extended insu came through.

PS: not that hard to go from Focus to G37 however from any car to a hardtop convertible expect top issues many times in your ownership.
