HELP!

Our 2008 G37 Convertible top is spontaneously opening itself.

> It seems as if this happens when we lock the door.
> We are not holding in the black lock button on the car.
> Car is not running.
> It happens when we are in proximity to the car (thank goodness!)

This is a nightmare because we are in a major rainy spell.

Has anyone ever had this issue happen?

What should I tell the dealer to look for???

 

I had a car that rolled the windows down randomly when it rained out. It ended up being a short in the main wiring harness for the vehicle. $1500 cost to replace but warrantied. Probably same issue you are having.

 

Check your FOB to see if the open button is not depressed. You can open the top by holding down the open button, just like the door button.

Really? I think I've tried it.. holding down for a long time and all that happens is the windows open.

 

Also... it's a 2009, not a 2008, if it matters.
