Convertible leaking in the rear

Hey guys, a lot of people have reported the roof leaking in the front along the A pillar, has anyone experienced a leak in the rear? I have a leak in both rear corners. If you take a look at the rubber from the inside it has a hollow tube exposed that it's leaking from...I have a 2010 g37 base conv.

I was told my warranty covered the roof but when I went to the dealer (not the one I purchased it from because this was 30 minutes closer) they said I wasn't covered and it's $180 to look at it for the first hour, then the cost to fix it. I'm thinking about going to my original dealer and making a stink.

Does anyone have any instructions on fixing these rear seals or maintaining them?

Sincerely,

Matt

What is the condition of the rubber seals? If they appear dry or stiff you can try applying something like Gummi-Pflege (you can get it on Amazon). I try applying this about twice a year to the rubber seals for the top.
You have to be careful when doing this. You need to have the roof stop mid way so you can get access to the seals. The important step to keep in mind when halting the roof half way is DO NOT TURN OFF THE IGNITION. I've done this procedure many times with out any problems. But some people have gotten the roof mechanism messed up by turning off the ignition when the roof is mid way.

Thanks, I did try that and it didn't do the trick (but I think it's good practice so I'm happy I have the gummi-pflege. However it runs down my windows when it rains which leaves a grease trail which is annoying.

Anyway, I solved the leaky roof issue and posted it here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-con...ml#post3999828
