The wife's convertible is an absolute blast to drive and handles great in the mountains, but IMO its an ideal 'locally' driven car because any trip over a couple of hours starts to wear on your ***. We/I recently drove from ATL to Orlando and back on a three day weekend with the top down half way each way, and I was really missing the M after a few hours. And of course with the top down, we had our suitcase on the backseat.

I put 25K/yr on my G37 sedan and while its night and day different in size, it was almost as fun to drive. Of course I got sick of the G being too small for my needs so I stepped up to the M.
In the time since my original post here, I've come to being very interested in the M37. Seems they sit on dealer lots about 5 or 6 times as long as G37's. So the prices end up coming almost down (within a 1k or 2k) of G37's after starting out up to 15k higher! And apparently the S models are really nice, balancing out the bigger car where some folks think the G S is too stiff? Anyway, very intrigued by them and the deals there. Suprised to read that the G37 actually has more front seat room than the M37.

I'm not sure where u read the G has more front seat room than the M as nothing could be further from the truth. Everything about the interior on the M is larger than the G from the width of the seats to the width of the center console.

Typo maybe?

Also, I too considered the sport package on the M because the wheels are pretty nasty imo however every review I read said it road like a wagon. I bought the M to be my premium interstate cruiser which it is. On the way back to atl from Key West this summer, the Mrs said its amazing how much more room and more comfortable this is compared to your last G37.

I have a 2013 G37S convertible and love it. Top down driving is a blast. The S is a great drive. We drove from Tampa to Savannah, GA top down all the there and back. Luggage under the windscreen and go. Fun, fast and a looker. I have had a G35 sedan and it was great with a sunroof too, an FX35 with sunroof but you can't beat a convertible.

Bought my first car - vert last October so can give few inputs.

Car drives great. Good power, good engine sound, very comfortable steering. Interior is sleek. No complains about trunk space since till now I never had to use it fully. No complain about back seat space either since it's my friends who sit there. lol..

Now negatives - Seat belt retractors are not working properly so have to get them changed. But the main negative is - Car body/Top noise..Ughhhh.. Top makes so much noise. Body also makes squeaking noise when some rough road comes like everything is breaking apart. Sometimes it feels like I am driving some bullock cart and annoys me.

But It so so much fun to drive in sunshine with top down. I live in Seattle and am waiting for summer to come so eagerly so I can go zoooomiiinnggggggggg soon..

There's a TSB for the seatbelts, I had it done and the dealer changed the door panels, so the interior looks brand new.

As for the rattles, they best the dealer can do is minimize the squeaking and flapping. The dealer replaced the headliner under warranty so it looks new too and muffles the sound better. If there is some clunking sounds that's different, they can fix that more easily.

Curious, I bought my G37S vert in San Fran and drove it to Seattle on the Pacific Coast Highway. 20 hours over two days, most of it twisting and winding up PCH. Never got fatigued the entire drive, I was fresh after the first 12 hour day.

My S however doesn't have the S seats. I have air-cooled seats so they're normal. Perhaps yours had the sport seats with the steel bars that cause some people issues?

I have no regrets at all. My wife has a G35 sedan and it's a snoozer! With the top down, No G has the same driving experience.....
