I have had my 37S(black on black) for a couple of months and I'm liking it more everyday. I have owned several BMWs...M3, 335s(one '08 convertible), '07 M Roadster, all with 6spd manual. The M Roadster was a beast, the 335 with 6 spd is the sweetiest you will ever drive. The manual in the 37S takes some getting used to...it revs much different, requires different shifting....the torque is lower than the BMWs, so you have to shift different....you had to shift the '07 M out of 1st at about 4K rpm to get a smooth shift....I'm still working on the 37S shifting. I think the 37S looks better, the interior is just as comfortable, maybe more, love the leather. The car is great, less money than comparible BMW....my only complaint is the seatbelt on the drivers side doesn't retract correctly....anyway thats my 2 cents....WC

alot for the money
I have had my share of bmw's and many other new cars, we actually traded our bmw Z4 convertible on our 2010 G37S convertible. I agree with your opinion of the 335, I had a 2007 coupe and I had several maps I used to run that were smooth and made that car a BEAST. I had 335 hp to the rear wheels when I had it dyno'd and that was a conservative map I felt comfortable with. I see that car driving around and I do miss it.
I don't like the look of the new bmw's, and they went to the single turbo on the sixes, and they are really pushing the four cylinders. I do like the new X3 Xdrive35i, about 5.3 seconds to 60 stock.
We love our G37S convertible very much, we only have 7k miles on it and it's like new and very fun to drive. It has decent cowl shake if you hit manholes and such but it handles fantastic and is fun and comfortable on road trips. We have never regretted our purchase.
