Looking at getting a 2010 vert

Ive been looking to get either a 335i vert or G37s. I have owned a few bmws and they are great cars but I have had bad luck once they hit high milage.

Just had some questions im sure you guru's can answer.

How do I know if the vert im looking at has the tech package? I see the button on the steering wheel (right hand side) that looks like a radar. Does this mean it has tech? Btw its a 2010.

Been lurking around here for the past two days and read many people comment on two issues. Navi, rattling inside the cabin, and water leaking. Anything else more common.

Thanks guys!

Hmm... doesn't look like anyone's replied so I'll try to help you out.

As far as I know, the Canadian version tech package has the auto cruise control and navi. Which I'm pretty sure is the radar button you're looking at... I know there's a bluetooth phone button there as well.

The only real issue I have with the vert is the roof rattling (took it in for warranty and still squeaks/rattles, will probably bring it in again) and a battery issue when I first bought the car (probably because it sat around for awhile). I don't have navi but I haven't read too many issues about it and roof leaking is an easy fix for them. I've also heard there may be some engine problems burning oil and/or getting bad gas mileage but that hasn't effected me.

I hope that helps!

Oh, and just to add a quick note. If you're planning on keeping the car for a long time, go for the G37. If you plan on leasing, go for the BMW!

A few things to look for on a tech package. The rain sensor for the wipers is on the glass behind the rear view mirror and is squarish in shape. The Headlights will also turn when you turn the wheel. There will be the auto assist cruise control button on the bottom right. The bottomr right of the steering wheel there will be 2 buttons (an on/off and what looks like a car on a street)

Quick Tech Package ID

You can tell any Infiniti with the Tech pachage at a quick glance from the front. The bottom grill has a square opening on the drivers side which is the infrared sensor for the advanced cruise control. Kinda messes up the look of the grill but the tech package is a nice feature on occasion and the rain sensing wipers should be standard on all cars.
