Leaking Roof new 2011 g37 convertible

I purchased a g37 conv on June 19th 2011. After the first rain I noticed water
trickling out of the tweeters on the the lower corners of the front windows.
and a couple or drops coming in from the front center of the front window and the drivers side window at the center. I've brought the car back to the dealer.

I'm concerned that this will not be an easy fix. Any suggestions or opinions as
to how to proceed with the dealer and any advice pursing the lemon law would be aprreciated.

2011 g37 covertible leaking roof

i purchased a 2011 g37 conv on june 19th 2011. On the first day it rained

I noticed four leaks when the top was down. Two leaks coming from the tweters in the corners of the side windows. One leak in the front center window and one leak on the drivers side window.. I took it to the dealer and they said it would be fixed. I have a feeling that this might not be an easy fix. Any advice in dealing with the dealer would be appreciated and any info regarding lemon info and the best way to pursue this headache.

First - let me say welcome & congrats on your new ride. 6/19 - that was Fathers Day so good for you for such a great present!

As for the leaks, generally when it raining and the top is down you will experience leaks

I assume that you had a typo and the leaks you are experiencing are when the top is up. The dealer should be able to correct them with sme simple adjustments - good luck!

Thank your for your reply and welcoming me to the forum. Yep, I always make that same word reversal (top up or down). Glad to hear that it should be a minor fix and is not a structural defect. I'm having too much fun with it and expected it might be a major headache to fix.
Thanks

Welcome to the vert forum,,,
There's an ITB for this leak fix. PM me your email and I can send you a copy and you take the ITB & your new ride to your dealer to perform the work per the ITB.

I heard a couple verts have this problem, the dealer should just replace the rubbers i guess.

The Infiniti dealer returned the car to me earlier this afternoon. They fixed the front leak with ITB 10-070 and adjusted the windows. Was that the code you were reffering to? Now lets what happens the next time it rains.. In the meantime just loving this car. 2011 g37/Malbec Black/Graphite/NAV/Prem/ and 19" wheel package. Nothing like it.

Co-sign the comment above. They adjusted the weather strip or seal where the windows meet the roof and the issue, not a vert but still experienced leaking issues once in a while, hasn't happened again.

Went through multiple car washes and even sprayed water down that area, still nothing...

Definitely bring it back to the dealer man.

BTW maybe the mods can move this to the vert section so more vert owners see it.

There is another thread on there which I responded to. Thanks. Made an appointment to go on the 23rd, since I can't go during the week and will be out of town this weekend.

Take it to the dealer!
Lemon laws very from state to state. Do a yahoo/google search for your state.
