First Service

Brought the car in for its (free) first oil change on Friday. I may have gotten off on the wrong foot with the service manager. I told him that the low tire pressure light came on and asked him what the tire pressure was supposed to be and he said 33-35 pounds. I took him out and showed showed him the label on the door jamb that said 38 pounds and said "See, you learn something new everyday!" And mentioned that I was generally not pleased with how the car was prepped for delivery, since they had also left pieces of the protective plastic on the window sills.

Good news is that he gave me a 2011 G37 sedan as a loaner, bad news was that the car was filthy. If I was selling Infinitis, I would have been embarrassed to let that car off the lot.

I did notice that the loaner, a really basic car, had some things not available on my 2010 convertible, like the wheel automatically moving up and down when the door was opened or when the starter was engaged. And the sun visors were cloth, not cheap vinyl like in my car.

Other than that, experience was okay. I had them check for codes, which they probably do anyway, because check engine light when on in the first 2 weeks I had it. No codes. Had them check top operation - normal. Complained about hard shifting automatic - no update available, but I should check everytime I come in.

yeah, no auto adjusting steering assembly for the vert. and they should know better about the psi needed for the vert. I'd expect that from tire shops that are used to the coupe wheel specs and don't read the door jam info.

the vinyl sun visors in my opinion is way better than the cloth ones cuz they dont hold dirt and ****ty stains from peoples dirty hands and fingers. i wiped them down(the visors and roof part) with a cloth and cleaning spray and holy crap the cloth was black.
