vibrations in rear deck lid

I was wondering if anyone else had vibrations in the large black piece that is in front of the trunk lid. When the top is down i can see this piece vibrate ever so slightly due to the wind. Is this normal or is this supposed to be more rigid.

never noticed since my eyes are on the road. But I do notice its easy to press down and can see how it could vibrate... I'm guessing this piece also vibrates with the top up and is the sound I hear.

Mine does the same thing... If you open the trunk and press down on that piece you can see that it's spring loaded... I think it's normal

this normal.. if you want to hide it and do not want to see the deck dance, use the wind deflector:

Ok, an update to this issue. I got some rattle taken care of, they adjusted the rear deck lid ( the black part we are talking about above) and now it doesnt rattle OR MOVE... even at high speeds of 80-85mph. Its great to not see that thing moving in the rear view mirror.

I am having same issues with my VERT 2010 Annvsy Edition. I only have 5K and I hear a lot of rattling when driving on either normal roads or rough roads. Did you tke your to the dealership and if you did, was the problem fixed? Please advise.

^ check the passenger seat belts and rear seat belts that the clip is not hitting anything and they are fully retracted.

Welcome Frank007. Is the rattle for sure coming from the rear deck lid? My lid was not rattling but just vibrating in the wind.

IMHO, any rattling on a new car is not good especially when its new. I'd take it back to the dealer to get it resolved before they can blame you for the rattling.

I have not notice any rattling with the roof down... *knock on wood*

Except on convertibles. Every car manufacture will do there best but Berta have a tendacy. To rattle more and sooner than non verts. The BMW vert I drove rattle a lot when I went for a test drive
